SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE PASSES CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY AND OPEN CARRY OF FIREARMS
If passed by the Senate in South Carolina, the state will allow permitless carry of open and concealed weapons by citizens of the state. Sometimes called Constitutional Carry, Vermont carry, permitless carry, or unrestricted carry, it would be the 13th state to have such rights in place for citizens in the USA.
As of today, Neil Gorsuch was also named to the Supreme Court of the United States and confirmed by the Senate. There are several pending cases involving gun rights and the Second Amendment that await the court, which will begin discussing which cases to hear beginning on April 13, 2017.
More guns in the hands of good, law-abiding citizens that are well trained in how to use them for self defense and hunting is a good thing for this country. Gun restrictions are ignored by bad guys so putting more and more restrictions on guns does nothing to them, does nothing to stop them from getting guns, so these restrictions are irrelevant to stopping crime. What stops crime is the thought in the mind of a bad guy that you, as a woman, mother, father, son or daughter just might have a gun and kill them if they mess with you. Remember, Salt Lake City has 1 out of every 3 people carrying a gun and they have almost no crime. The city of Chicago...well, they have the most restrictive gun laws in the country and 20 people are shot every night in Chicago.
The facts and statistics don't lie.
