Trump Budget - No More Grants to Leftist Artsy Fartsy Programs
Lets face it - the National Endowment for the Arts is a massive money sucking entity that takes YOUR tax dollars and gives it to "the arts". And lets face it, the people that are big in "the arts" are rich left wing snobs. So if they like the arts so much, why don't they go ahead and pay for it? The $154 million annually that the NEA sucks out of taxpayers is on the Trump budget chopping block. This is basically a handout to the rich leftist elites and its not that much money that Bill Gates and Warren Buffet can't pick up the tab if they care so much about "the arts". National Public Radio is another place that will get chopped, another $150 million in savings. Your tax dollars have continued to fund NPR for years, and frankly, they hate conservatives and despise everything we stand for, so maybe they can learn what its like to actually EARN money for their enterprise rather than TAKE our tax money every year.
Final Thought: In addition to cutting certain things like NPR and the NEA entirely, Trump should go through just about every other government entity or taxpayer funded agency and require an across the board cut. For some, they should be eliminated, like the EPA. For others, 50% and for most, 20% year one, then 10% annually thereafter. We need to right size our government to a tax base that makes sense. The more costs we cut, the lower we can cut taxes. Wouldn't it be amazing if, in the future, we had a 5 or 10% tax rate on all Americans, and a balanced budget because our government wasn't abusing and misusing its power of taxation to fund radical left programs?
