Trump Still Faces Insane Electoral College Hurdle
Ahead of the debates, it appears that Trump could technically win this thing. But in order for that to happen, he would have to accomplish an almost insurmountable Electoral College hurdle: He has to win 106 Electoral College votes from toss up states. He will probably win Flroida, Ohia, and Arizona, but that will only get him to 223 votes - and he needs 270. That means he needs 47 more. He probably won't win Pennsylvania or Michigan or Georgia. There's too many poor in those states that will vote to keep their free government "stuff". That means that he has to win 47 votes from the remaining toss up states like North Carolina, Nevada, Maine, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Colorado. There are only 65 votes in the remaining toss up states, and he has to get 47 of these. Big hurdle. Odds not good.
He might get North Carolina and Nevada, New Hampshire and Maine. But he isn't likely to get Colorado, Wisconsin or Virginia.
And don't forget - regardless of potentially winning the popular vote, Donald has to overcome the fact that Democrats are EXPERTS at organizing illegal aliens to vote. They are EXPERTS at getting people to vote multiple times. Even though these two things are supposedly "not legal" the Democrats have been successful at pushing down potential laws and requirements that people show proof of citizenship in order to vote, claiming that it "discriminates" against the poor. Doesn't matter that its THE LAW. They have successfully eliminated any real checks on citizenship at the voting booth. This paves the way for them to allow illegal voters to vote for them. This is important in states like Colorado, which used to be a Republican state, but is now filled with illegal aliens and has gone decidedly "Progressive".
So even if Donald hits a home run in the upcoming debates, which is not a sure thing, he faces the daunting ruthless Clinton and dirty DNC machine at the voting booths. The Republican Party is the JV team in this part of the game. The DNC wrote the rules on how to win at the booth with dirty tactics, and they will be pulling all the dirty moves they can this time.
