Falsehoods of the Left
The left wing Democrat/Socialist/Progressive/Communists are great at using language to confuse the masses and get them to vote along with them. They use catchy phrases and one-liners that sound great on the surface, but when scratched even a bit beneath the surface, one can see that the headline is just a lie, a con. When confronted with the FACTS and STATISTICS and real COMMON SENSE it becomes evident that they are trying to sell you some kind of elixir or magic tonic...and if you buy it, you'll find out its just a bottle of swill.
Here are some of my favorite liberal cons:
THE RICH NEED TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES. This is a beauty. It preys on the ignorance and jealousy of the masses. Never mind that the richest Americans are usually business owners or investors, whose businesses employ millions of people and pay billions in taxes. So what if they don't pay a lot or ANY taxes personally? Who cares? They are the ones taking the risks, investing the money, employing the people, and their companies are paying massive taxes. I would give a free tax pass to every person like Steve Jobs that wants to risk, create, and build companies that employ hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Apple alone is probably responsible for more than a million jobs around the globe. Think about it. Why penalize people like this? ENCOURAGE THEM. And another thing, its always the Democrats that are career politicians that want the rich to pay more in taxes when they themselves are TAKERS, not givers, to the system. Their very livelihood is a paycheck that comes from OUR TAX MONEY. What has Hillary produced in private sector jobs? Nothing. How many private companies has she created, labored from infancy to success? None. How has she become wealthy? By setting up a charity, which can avoid taxes ENTIRELY, and live off the donations, which are a tax write off! Yet she is one that uses this line more than just about anyone we know!
SHARED PROSPERITY. This, again, is a very good example of how the Left makes things sound good...that are very, very bad in reality. Shared prosperity is being bounced around by the left almost as a trial balloon, to see if people accept it, if people question it or catch it. It comes directly from COMMUNISM, "from each according to their means, to each according to their needs". Its INCOME REDISTRIBUTION. You make a lot of money, so we're going to tax the living hell out of you, and give a big portion of that to those that don't make as much. Extend that another level and you have people's property being taken and given to others to live on. And remember, the last time I checked, your money is your property. They're already taking that and you're letting them. Every time you vote for a Democrat, every time you vote for a tax increase of any kind, you are letting them know that it is OK for them to take your money.
COMMON SENSE GUN CONTROL. This is the best subterfuge going. The Democratic socialist pigs are really, really good at making the average person think "Well, what could possibly be wrong with common sense?" The devil is that its just a cover-up for starting to outlaw guns and confiscate guns from law abiding Americans. The problem with liberals is that they can never argue this case on the merits of statistical facts. They just can't. Here's come "common sense" for you: The city of Chicago has the toughest anti-gun laws in the nation, but has more gun violence than any other city on the planet. More than a war zone like Iraq! In Utah, about 1 out of every 3 people carries a gun. I think they had 41 gun homicides IN THE WHOLE STATE last year. Chicago, a single city, has had over 500 SO FAR THIS YEAR. Its a statistical fact that cannot be denied. Statistically, you are around 500% more likely to be shot and killed in Chicago than in Salt Lake City. But Chicago has the toughest anti-gun laws! Hmmmmm.
WE LIVE IN THE MOST SUCCESSFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD THEREFORE COLLEGE TUITION AND HEALTHCARE SHOULD BE FREE TO ALL. This is the Bernie Sanders mellenial outcry. It sounds good, because the first part of the statement is true, but the second part destroys the first. We became the most successful country not because we gave everyone free stuff, but because we required people to contribute successfully to an economy built upon a foundation of working for what you get, taking risk to get the reward.
WAKE UP YOU ENTITLED SPOILED LITTLE BASTARDS!!! NOBODY, NOT ME, NOT YOUR PARENTS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT, AND NOT SOCIETY AS A WHOLE OWES YOU ANYTHING. If you were lucky enough to make it to age 18, you're on your own. Get a job. Be grateful you have it. Work hard. Pay your own way. Stand on your own two feet. Live within your means. Don't go into debt.
Like all Socialist policies, these 'free stuff' policies have to be funded somehow, and if you have 3 kids going to UCLA for free, someone is paying for it. If not you, then me. Like all Socialist policies, as Margaret Thatcher once said, "Socialism eventually always fails because eventually you run out of other peoples money!" Since the beginning of time, just living and breathing on this earth has not guaranteed you anything for free. If you don't produce something that other people want, then you starve. That has always been the way of the world. Yes, we created safety nets for people that have lost their jobs and its called unemployment. If you're disabled or incapacitated, we have a safety net for you. But it is the height of arrogance to think that just because you were born and are breathing that you have a right to free college education or free healthcare of free housing or free food or free anything. To me, that just means you're lazy, or stupid, or both. A person needs to produce something of value to others. If you're healthy and able to work, and you don't do that, then its right that you starve. It's all over the Bible, and even if you're not a big fan of the Bible, you have to admit that those that follow it seem to be some pretty damn good people that contribute more to society than they take. "Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest: Proverbs 20:4. "They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat." Isaiah 65:22. "The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour." Proverbs 21:25. "Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich. Proverbs 10:4
